Team Quick Step will be hitting the roads of the 67th Tour de Pologne from 1 till 7 August. Among the eight riders lining up for the start of the Polish stage race Team Quick Step can count on Wouter Weylandt for the sprints. Weylandt already won a stage at the Giro d’Italia this year. By his side he’ll have Belgian champion Stijn Devolder, the young Italians Dario Cataldo, recently second in the Italian National time trial race; Davide Malacarne, who’s already won a stage this year in the Volta a Catalunya and the expert team player Marco Velo. Rounding out the formation are the Belarussian pair Andrei Kunitski and Branislau Samoilau and Dane Thomas Vedel Kvist. Rik Van Slycke will be leading the riders in the pack from the flagship vehicle.

“At the Tour de Pologne presumably there are many sprints, in which Wouter Weylandt, who’s already proven himself as a high level sprinter, will try to give it his best. In the Polish race there will also be some challenging arrivals, with space for long break aways, where expert riders like Devolder and also the young riders like Cataldo and Malacarne can seize their chance to shine”, says Rik Van Slycke.
