Team Quick Step tried to surprise the peloton during the final part of the third stage of Paris-Nice. After the four escapees were caught, Nikolas Maes tried his luck on the final climb of the day. Our Belgian rider had no success, he was caught quickly. In the final kilometres our French riders Sylvain Chavanel and Jerome Pineau took command in the peloton in orde to force a breakaway. Unfortunately they didn`t succeed in their attempt. Instead of a surprise breakaway one of them was hit from behind by a rider of Lampre, who crashed.

William Bonnet took the stage win outsprinting Sagan and Sanchez. Carlos Barredo was the first rider of Team Quick Step in a 21st place. There are no big changes in the overall rankings after this stage. Lars Boom is still in lead in front of Jens Voigt, Sylvain Chavanel is still the best Quick-Stepper in a 39th place.
