Team Quick Step was in the front once again during the 14th stage of the Tour de France. Jurgen van de Walle was in the day`s breakaway, while Sylvain Chavanel and Kevin de Weert were doing well in the group with the major contenders. De Weert was satisfied with his prestation. "I gave it all today to limit my loss. A little cold is still bothering me, but the situation is improving. On the final climb I rode my own rhythm and together with Carlos Barredo I tried to make the best of it. I think I can`t complain about my result", said De Weert.

Van de Walle was in the front for a big part of the day, but didn`t have a 'superday'. "If that was the case, I probably could have followed Riblon till the final climb. The condition was good, but not as good as in the first Tour week. It was too bad I had to let go on the penultimate climb, that steep part was just too much for me. I wanted to stay with Riblon, he was one of the best riders of the group. Impressive he could hold on till the end of the stage", Van de Walle reported after the stage.
