Another fifth place for Weylandt in Wallonie
The third stage in the Tour de Wallonie went from Ardenne to Hotton. Belgian champion Stijn Devolder tried to set up an early breakaway, but his attempts didn`t succeed. Eventually he got in the front in a group of 25 riders. They gained a small gap on the peloton, but the majority of the group was caught quickly. Only a few riders tried their luck in a smaller group, with 7 kilometres to go they were caught also. Devolder was doing well, as he was one of the riders who lead the chase in the peloton.
A group of 70 riders headed to the line in Hotton, where a bunch sprint had to bring the decision in this stage. Kristof Goddaert nailed it down in front of Pozzato and Van Vooren. Wouter Weylandt ended just like yesterday in 5th place. Our Belgian rider is now leading the points classification. In the overall rankings Weylandt is still in third place, two seconds behind the new leader Goddaert.
